Transitioning to High School
January 8, 6:30-8pm, WBMS Gym
Thank you so much for joining us last evening to learn more about the high school course placement process. We are all committed to supporting you and your student as they transition to high school.

Middle School to High School Transition Night for Rising 9th Grade Students and their Parents - Course Registration & Scheduling for 2024-2025, AHS Theater, 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Parents of current 8th grade students zoned for Alpharetta High School are invited to AHS regarding course registration and scheduling for the 2024-2025 school year. Presentations include:
- Introduction – Mr. Scheifflee, Principal
- Curriculum, Graduation Requirements & School Overview – Amy Longstreth, Counselor
- Course Registration Process – Clair Greenaway, Assistant Principal
- Academic and Elective Course Options – Department Chairs and teachers
- Q & A
*Private school students and parents as well as any other prospective students and parents are also invited to the Middle School to High School Transition Night; enrollment and course registration materials will be distributed.
Tuesday, February 13
AHS Tour
Middle school students zoned for Alpharetta High School will take a “field trip” with their respective schools to tour Alpharetta High School. Webb Bridge and Hopewell Middle School students who will be attending Alpharetta High School the following school year will participate in a tour of the school and view a presentation:
· Buses will arrive and unload at AHS at 9:40 a.m.
· Students will enter the theatre and after an informational session and performances, tour the school.
· Students will be allowed to view some classes while touring the building.
· Buses will leave AHS at 11:10 a.m. to return to the middle schools.
Students zoned for Alpharetta High School who are not currently attending either Webb Bridge Middle School or Hopewell Middle School are encouraged to attend, and these students should contact the Alpharetta High School Counseling Office for specific information: 470-254-7640.
