Rising 8th Grade Connections

Rising 8th graders will get to select their top 4 choices for their Connections classes. While we cannot guarantee selection, we do everything possible to ensure each student has at least one of their selections.

  • Intro to Software Tech (1)* You MUST be enrolled in Algebra 1 or higher to take this course
     
  • Intro Graphic Design & Writers Workshop (Yearbook) (1)** Students interested in Yearbook will be required to complete an additional task as part of the selection process to demonstrate their graphic design skills.
     
  • Healthcare Science is no longer a high school credit bearing course. It is only offered as a Middle School Connections course (this was a District decision, not a local school decision).

**8th Grade Students in Band, Chorus and Orchestra receive a high school credit (1). If you are continuing to participate in Band, Chorus or Orchestra, you should list this as your #1 choice on your selection form.

Connected Language
(this is a semester long World Language course that explores more about the culture, traditions and locations of countries that speak that language. The focus is on the people, not learning the language. The World Language (Spanish, French, etc) is TBD.)
